Our sponsoring club was the Chilliwack Lions and our guiding Lion was PZC J.A. Jonesie Jones The club has participated in many fund raisers and service projects over the years (garage sales, pancake breakfasts, hot dog sales, city clean up, hospital projects, etc.). The Dogwood Lions typically holds a putting tournament at Cultus LakeTap-Inns Putting Course. We participate in Canada day celebrations and the Lions Christmas Ship. Our Signature fundraiser remains the live internet Bingo that began as TV Bingo, put together in 1995 with the help of the Hope Lions Club and our charter president Lion George Vickery. This project remains a weekly internet bingo, live on our website www.chilliwacklions.ca with a link to our utube channel, keeping our members involved weekly and generating, over the years, millions of dollars used for the benefit of our community. On June 24th 1994 we became the Chilliwack Dogwood Monarch Lions Club, which we believe to be the best club in the multiple district.
